Introducing print coverage: a new feature in Cway

We’re excited to announce the launch of a powerful new feature in the Cway platform: Print Coverage Calculation. This is just the initial version, and we’re already planning more enhancements, but the functionality it offers today will help streamline your packaging design and print processes. Now, within Cway, you can easily calculate the percentage of ink coverage for any artwork.

How It Works

With the new Print Coverage function in Cway, it’s never been easier to track and manage ink usage:

Add a Task

To get started, just create a new Print Coverage task for the selected artwork.

The icon will automatically highlight as completed if, after the calculation, the print coverage area is below 50%.

Open the Artwork in the Viewer

Open the artwork you’re working on in Cway’s powerful Viewer tool, which now includes the print coverage feature.

Select Areas for Calculation

Highlight the packaging area and the specific ink coverage areas you want to evaluate.

Get Automatic Calculations

The system will automatically calculate and display the percentage of ink coverage for the selected areas. This gives you instant insight into your design’s ink requirements.
